Tot Shabbat
Experience the joy of Shabbat with your tot (ages 2-7) in a relaxed,
child-friendly setting. Unaffiliated families, as well as Beth El Hebrew
Congregation member families, are invited to join us for a
child-centered Shabbat service with music, storytelling, a Torah parade,
followed by Kiddush,
Challah, a special Oneg of snacks and sweets.
The service is full of fun, smiles, songs and stories.
Tot Shabbat services are held in
the sun-filled Schick Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. twice a month
year-round, generally on the first and third Saturdays. Children sing,
clap, dance, play tambourines and march with the Torah in services
designed to teach even the youngest child about the joy of Shabbat.
Tot Shabbat is led by our early
childhood music specialist and service leader.
